With the capacity to cater for between 60 – 250 people, it’s the perfect idea for medium to large functions.
Based in North Suffolk on a Pig Farm at Athelington Hall, Cheeky Porker Hog Roasts are very different from your normal Spit Roasts. The hog is reared on-site before being carefully selected for the required size of your party.
Once selected and prepared, the pig is then cooked slowly at a constant temperature for 8 hours in a 7-foot-long stainless steel oven. Using our custom-made ovens, the succulent meat is cooked through to the bone, including what our customers describe as "the best crackling they have ever tasted". Compared to spit roasts where we often find burnt crackling and uncooked pork in the center.
We have recently started doing lamb roasts too. These are succulent and juicy and have become incredibly popular over the last year. Serving up to 50 people, these delicious lamb roasts are perfect for smaller gatherings.
There are many different sides to have with a hog/lamb roast, whether it is as part of a roast with vegetables, with salads, or simply on its own in a bread roll. But, whatever the choice of side a dollop of apple/mint sauce is a must!
As part of our service, we deliver the roast to your event, serve it up, and then take everything away with us, so the host has nothing to worry about!
